Oil Damped Load Cell

Viscous Damped Load Cell

Thames Side’s T16 Fluid Damped load cell also known as Oil Damped load cell or Viscous Damped load cell is a reliable, simple, high precision and low cost solution for dynamic weighing applications, even with off-centre loading. The internal fluid damps the vibrations of the sensing element, offering faster settling timesincreased weighing speeds and increased load cell life when compared to a non-damped load cell. It is therefore ideal for high speed check weighing and filling machines.

The T16 model has a grade 316 stainless steel housing and an integrated bi-directional stop for protection against overloads. They are designed specifically for high accuracy applications in filling and dosing systems, platform scales and check-weighers amongst others.

We can supply technical drawings and 3D CAD files (e.g. in STEP format) to engineers who are specifying load cells for new equipment.
